About Silkdoro
A Korean company with Central Asian roots
Silkdoro exists because of one phone call: a buyer in Tashkent asking whether anyone in Korea could find genuinely halal-certified Korean ramen and get it to Uzbekistan — properly documented, properly shipped.
We are originally from Uzbekistan and have lived and worked in South Korea for many years. When that first request came, we realized we were positioned to do something most trading intermediaries can't: read the Korean manufacturer's certification documents in Korean, verify the halal claim at the source, and explain the whole deal to the buyer in their own language.
So we registered a Korean company with a trade license and built Silkdoro — the name joins silk, for the old trade route that connected our two regions, with doro (도로), the Korean word for road. The new Silk Road runs from Incheon's port to Tashkent, Almaty, Moscow, and anywhere our buyers are.
We are a young company and we act like it — every inquiry gets a founder's attention, every quote is transparent, and we would rather tell you a product can't be certified for your market than ship you a problem.
